How we verify providers
We publish our criteria because the alternative — asking you to trust a logo — is not good enough.
Clinics and hospitals
- Licensing and authorisation to treat international patients
- Accreditation status, and the difference between an accreditation and a certificate
- Named surgeons and physicians, with their credentials and years of practice
- Complication handling, revision policy and who is accountable if something goes wrong
- Languages spoken by the international patient team
- Verified patient reviews, not testimonials written for the website
Travel providers
- Licensed to operate in Turkey as a travel agency
- Insolvency protection and insurance arrangements
- Written cancellation and refund terms
- Named hotels and vehicles, not “4-star or similar”
- Response times we have actually observed, not what they promise
What accreditation does and does not mean
Accreditation tells you a facility met a defined standard at a point in time. It does not tell you who will perform your procedure, how complications are handled, or how you will be treated as a foreign patient. That is why we check the human and operational detail as well as the certificate.
If we get it wrong
Tell us. We will raise it with the provider, and if we have recommended someone badly we want to know before the next patient does. A provider who does not engage with a complaint does not stay on our list.
